Department of IR&PM and IR&PM Alumni Association organized a Two day
National Seminar on “Perspectives on Employment Relations” and organized Alumni
meet on 23rd Dec 2012.

200 Delegates, Academicians, Research Scholars and professionals across Public,
Private and Government sector have participated and presented research papers
in the Seminar.
Hon.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jayanta Kumar Mohapatra, presided over the Inaugural
Function. Shri. Bala Krishana Akkala Former CMD,Coal India was the Chief Guest,
and Prof .G.C Patro deliverd the keynote address over the theme of the Seminar.
Prof. B.P. Rath, Registrar and Prof D.V.Giri, Organizing secretary of the Conference
were present.

The
Conference started with a panel discussion on “Emerging Perspectives on Employment
Relations”, speakers were drawn from the Public, Private sectors and trade
unions. Shri AshokSahu, GM (HR) , NALCO, Shri, Parafulla Patnayk, Trade Union
leader, Dr.R.K.Dash DGM (HR),L&T ,Shri Sanathan Biswal, Practioner in Labour
laws deliberated on the Theme.
A
Cultural programme was organized by the IR&PM Students and the alumni of
the Department in the evening.
On
23rd December one technical
session was conducted. And seminar was closed with valedictory function.

Patro Presided over the Valedictory function and Mr.Vinay Kumar former Director
–(Per) NTPC was the chief Guest. Prof BP Rath Registrar, Prof DV Giri were
present. Prof.SC Parida offered the vote thanks.
On
23rd December 2012 afternoon IR&PM alumni Meet was organized. Prof.B.C
Choudhury Chairman PG Council presided over the Valedictory Function, with
around 150 alumni present. They have shared their experiences and interacted
with faculty and students.
The
function was concluded with vote thanks given by Dr.SB Patro
